Texture, color and the patina of old buildings stimulate the senses and lead me to create environmental tapestries and dreamlike scenes to envelope the viewer in the image.
During the course of my artistic career, I have long been fascinated in the passage of time, space and environment and its impact upon the viewer; and in the possibilities of getting the viewer to think and feel about more than what immediately hits the eye; I want to envelope the viewer in the image, wrap them into its environment and have them leave with a different view on their world.
My work is printed archivally with pigmented inks on rag paper in limited editions of 5 or less. Prices range from $15 to $500.

Ed Bruno
Phone: 302 235-7267
My work is primarily woodcarvings done by hand. The finer pieces are relief carvings made of 3/8" or thinner boards. I sketch the outline on the wood and cut it out with a band saw. Using a variety of chisels and knives, the carving is made creating an illusion of depth. The piece is either painted with acrylics or left natural and finished with mineral oil.
Other pieces are in the round. Methodology is much the same, but done in 3D. These tend to be much more whimsical.
Prices vary from $20 to slightly over $200.

A Delaware transplant from Chester County, Pennsylvania, I graduated Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science in Art Education and Bachelors of Fine arts in Crafts, with a focus in Fine Metals and Ceramics. I relocated to Delaware when I accepted my current position as the art teacher at Keene Elementary in Newark. At Keene I educate around 700 students in choice based art studio classroom.
My metal working interest began at Kutztown while waiting for a my ceramics pieces to dry I would walk down the hall and work on fabricating works out of sterling silver and cloisonné enamel. I was drawn to metals through the feel of the material, and its fantastic possibilities.
Transformation has always been a theme in all of my artwork, whether I am transforming raw materials into finished artworks, or young students into artist. I look for the opportunity to share my knowledge and devotion to the art.
